Kimberley

Kimberley is famous for its big hole, dug to mine diamonds from the rock deep below the surface.

The De Beers hole is the largest man-made excavation in the world and more than 2,700 kilos of diamonds were found there.

The old Kimberley stands on the edge of the hole and is interesting to walk around.
