Cape Town
I reached Cape Town on 1 January and didn't really spend much time there.

This first photo is the view from the bottom cable car station on Table Mountain.

Of course, the city is famous for it's backdrop - Table Mountain - so named because of it's flat top and the way clouds form as a tablecloth.

Left: Taryn and I worked together for a short time in Crete, Greece, and I met up with her and Joe one evening.
Right: An Aussie
girl tucking in to
a decent pizza.

Here I am with one of Taryn's smiley friends.
Cape Town's Minstrel Carnival was taking place while I was there.

The bright colours, smiling faces and
cheerful music were
really impressive.

The tall buildings of Cape Town's centre can be seen in this view from atop Table Mountain.
