Spring 2004
Vanessa and Shannon relax at a coffee shop in Sangnam Dong.

Here's HJ tucking into a typical Korean dinner for one.
That's a plate of fish, a bowl of rice and a dozen other dishes - all just for one person!

Wae-ju, Young-shin and HJ enjoyed a barbeque picnic at a quiet and picturesque spot near Changwon's shooting range.
Note: Korean barbeque is strips of meat grilled/fried over a gas stove and eaten wrapped in leaves.
Buddha's Birthday
Koreans traditionally visit a temple (or three for good luck) on Buddha's birthday, a national holiday.
This photo shows some of the miniature Buddha's left on a wall around a temple I visited.

Young-shin and HJ pose under the canopy of candle lanterns at the temple.
The photo below shows those lanterns from above.

This is a view of the center of Changwon, with the city's central grass circle and main streets illuminated with lanterns for Buddha's birthday.
