St. Patrick, of Wales

It's St. Patrick's day today (17th March) and Irish all over the world celebrate the Emerald Isle's patron saint.

Patrick was born late in the ninth century AD, long before today's British borders were drawn.

He was apparently born in what is now Strathclyde, an area in southern Scotland.

Only back then that area was part of a kingdom of Welsh people.
